    What is it?
The Â鶹ÒùÔº Development Programme is a 12 month self-directed learning programme that provides all the essential knowledge and skills that a new DGSA needs to ensure that they are able to fully perform the role as a DGSA for themselves or their undertakings. It also free to Â鶹ÒùÔº members.

    Who is it for?
The programme is for Â鶹ÒùÔº members who are existing or newly-qualified DGSAs. The sense of achievement at passing the DGSA exam is quickly eroded by the reality of the role that you are to perform & you realise that you don’t know what you need to know. This programme will provide you with what you need to know.

    How is it done?
Each of the 12 months is split into 4 elements. Each element has a theme and a guidance document that will direct you to read further, view relevant web-based material or conduct a task. At the beginning of the programme you will be allocated a Mentor (an experienced Â鶹ÒùÔº DGSA) who will guide you through the programme’s content and help you understand how it pertains to your role.

    Where do I do it?
You do this either at your workplace, at your home or both. There are elements where we will invite you to attend an arranged visit to a relevant facility that will provide further knowledge and insight into a particular aspect of dangerous goods as well joining us at our Â鶹ÒùÔº annual meetings and seminar.

    When does it start?
Intakes of new delegates are performed every 4 months. May 2024 is our inaugural launch date.

What do i get out of it?
At this point all you get is the acquisition of new skills and knowledge that will make you a better DGSA. The UK Government are following this programme with great interest and who knows what will happen in the future - but someone has to make a start.

How do I get on it?
e-mail Â鶹ÒùÔº at ‘enquiries@badgp.org' and request an application form. Complete the form and return it and we will initiate the process
